Those that are part of Mountain Pals Pet Sitting understand the concerns that pet guardians and home owners face when trusting someone else to provide care for their animals. Selecting just the right pet sitter for the care of your pets and home is one of the more important decisions you will make.
At Mountain Pals, our goal is to make sure that plans don't get cancelled and pets don't go uncared for. Period.
Rebecca, the founder of Mountain Pals, has worked as a Veterinarian Technician for over 10 years specializing
in emergency and geriatic medicine. Before moving up to higher elevations she worked with the North
Boulder Companion Animal Hosptial and Dr. Sue Patton in Boulder. Companion
Animal Hospital is one of the only a few emergency clinics in Boulder. It is also
one of the only clinics in the area that will see exotics. Iguana, guinie
pigs, African Sulcata turtles, leapard geckos, birds of every contenent
have walked through their doors.
This specialized training has made her and those she trusts to work under the Mountain Pals name as the ideal canidate to take care of your beloved pets.
Before moving back to Colorado she also worked in Shelter Medicine and speciality
vetinerian practices. She has worked with trainers Ian
Dunbar and Kelly Gorman, the creators of the concept of early puppy
socialization "puppy kindgergarted". She was part of the initial
team that created the OPEN PAW program
that has changed the way shelters manage the socialization of their pet
population. Creating positive reinforcement programs that have spred coast
to coast.
She has also been formally trained in proper puppy behavior training, dealing with agression issues and how to teach your old dog new tricks.
